Clinical Research is the strongest spoke in the wheel of progress towards better healthcare. Research is the fuel that drives our endeavor to make the art of surgery and the patient experience better.

"Largest reported series of forgotten DJ stents in the world. Highlights the fact that a forgotten stent can be a lethal but entirely preventable complication!"

"Conservative management of antenatally detected PUJO is a source of anxiety for the patient as well as a concern for the urologist. This study highlights the predictive factors for the need of surgery in conservatively managed ANH and thus provides prognostic information. If we know the predictive factors, we are able to predict which child needs more intensive follow up and in which children, follow up can be less intensive."

Sohrab Arora, Anubhav Raj, MS Ansari. Nephropleural Fistula After Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy in a Pediatric Patient: Diagnosis and Management. Urology. 2015 Jan; 85(1):e3-4.

"Nephropleural fistula is a rare complication after PCNL and lack of retroperitoneal fat and low reflection of pleura in a pediatric patient makes them more prone to this complication. Management is usually maximal drainage with a stent, new PCN and a chest tube drain."

"Nephrectomy and proximal ureterectomy is recommended as the standard procedure for reflux into a non-functioning kidney. Incidence of symptomatic ureteral stump after nephrectomy for high-grade vesicoureteric reflux is low. In rare cases, the residual stump is symptomatic, and excision of the stump is curative."

"Adrenocortical carcinoma with IVC thrombus is a rare type of cancer which goes into the biggest vein of the body, the "inferior vena cava". We have highlighted how to diagnose and manage this challenging disease."
